STORY
Garji is a school teacher in a troubled family consisting of his father Brahmanandam who works as an apartment security guard, his mother who sells homemade rice flour, and his younger sister Akshara who is in middle school. Her life is thrown into turmoil when her father is accused of assaulting a child along with her four other men. Garji is determined to prove her father's innocence. He protected her from her perverted teachers in her childhood and encouraged her to resist many evils.
Af the public's hatred, In the end, they are abandoned even by family friends who are successful lawyers. However, his assistant, Indras Kaliaperumal, an unnamed lawyer, agrees to represent her as she has no reputation to lose. At the hearing, while questioning investigators, Indorans revealed that the victim had been mistakenly given a high dose of barbiturates and used her testimony (which identified Brahmanandam as the perpetrator) to make it unacceptable.
He also meets the victim's father and reveals that he was the one who made her identify Brahmanandam, as she was catatonic from trauma and unable to function at all (certainly he is). All this puts the evidence into question and allows Brahmanandam to get conditional bail.
A colleague of her father, who had previously claimed to have been at home all day on that fateful day, inadvertently, in a drunken stupor, first spotted the child lying there and offered Brahmanandam. Gargi begins to doubt when he reveals that he was the one who was alarmed. Her father claims he was drinking at the time. She visits the child again and shows her a photo of the fifth criminal to confirm her suspicions.
Brahmanandam was actually found to be the culprit when the child identified him, leading to his arrest and conviction. Garji goes outside for a while and deals with this fear calmly. As the credits roll, we learn that she and her family have moved out after reconciling with the victim and her father.
